Sorry I can’t give you advice, but it is a chance to rant against the idea that we are a “free” country and can do whatever we want and succeed if we work hard when the burden of buying health insurance is so great that many who want to start a business are unable due to this one issue. I cannot grasp why people don’t realize how many choices we would have if our health care was not connected to employment. No one wants to be fired or laid off but it happens so there goes your income *and* your health insurance. A double hit. And employers tend to avoid hiring older employees due to the extra expense of insuring them. The ever present cloud of losing ones health insurance is a constant stressor for anyone over 50.
