Of course if you have worked for the government in pretty much any capacity and retired with your guaranteed pension after just 20 years, you will be covered until eligible for Medicare. City, county, state, or federal, you will have health care for life, no matter how insignificant your job is. I’m not talking about elected officials, but the huge number of employees working in any capacity for the government. And good for them. But half of these same people who retire from a desk job at 50 will vote against your right to unionize, collect a pension, be able to retire or move into a more physically feasible job when older, or have healthcare for all, even though they enjoy those benefits.
